2F Self Service Book Drop Machine
Outside the lobby gate, next to the elevator is a self service book drop machine, with a system that automatically classifies the returned books according to their assigned locations.
2F Reserved Items Area
Most of our collections are managed by RFID system. Therefore, users can find their requested items by a query machine and Smart Bookshelves, and borrow them through self-checkout machines.
3F Learning Commons
A place where people exchange opinions, creativity, share and learn together. The library has plenty of collection resources, digital equipment and comfortable environment, and is the most suitable for learning commons.
On the 3rd floor, there are open-style, about 20 sets, 80 seats of adjustable desks and chairs on wheels, wall-mounted screens and mobile whiteboards. No reservation or room booking is required. Whether there are two or five people, they can bring their own laptop here anytime to discuss schoolwork and share learning experience.
4F Information Classroom
Three classrooms of 42 computers, with A4, A3 scanners and coin printing machines, they provide users free access to computers. NCCU faculty and students select seats with their ID on the seat selection system at the entrance of the classrooms. Other visitors contact Information Desk on the 4th floor to book the seats. All seats are available except when there are scheduled courses or workshops.
4F Multimedia Creative Learning Space
On the 4th floor, this area has various types of audio-visual seats, Creative Exhibition Room, Video Production Room, Information Classrooms, to support the utilization of digital and multimedia resources.
Feel free to consult Information Desk on the 4th floor for problems with equipment in Meeting Rooms, problems with Seat Booking or computers in Information Classrooms, problems with equipment in Multimedia Space including Audio-visual Seats and Rooms, Creative Exhibition Room and Video Production Room, finding and borrowing materials or other matters that we may help with.
Audiovisual Seats
After borrowing the public screening licensed audiovisual materials at Information Desk, users can choose the seat wanted via Booking System. No reservation is required.
Audiovisual Room
Each of the two Audio-Visual Rooms are for 3 to 10 people. Please make an online reservation on Room Booking System. You can only watch public screening licensed audiovisual materials of the library.
5F Maker Space
Makers are people who love to solve problems and share cooperative experiences with each other. Maker Space encourages "learning by doing" and provides a place where creative ideas connect with hands-on learning experiences. Maker Space is located on the 5th floor, and the opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00.
7-8F Multi-Funtion Conference Space
Multi-Function Conference Space is located on the 7th floor of the library, including Lo Chia-luen Hall and five multifunctional rooms, providing flexible places for group discussion.
Dah Hsian Lecture Hall on the 8th floor is another conference or lecture venue with semi-circular auditorium seating.
To apply for these conference spaces, please fill in the online application form first, wait for email reply, read the regulations and user guide, and then submit signed paper forms to Digital Innovation Section in Dah Hsian Seetoo Library.
Scholar Study Rooms
Scholar Study Rooms provide visiting scholars with a suitable research environment. A total of 12 study rooms are located on the 8th floor. Each room has its own desk, chair and a locker, with an overlooking view of the library. They are available for teachers, researchers, visiting scholars to apply for use.
Group Study Carrels
On the 8th floor, each room provides a set of study carrels for 4 to 12 people, with a total capacity of 70 seats. Room 832 to Room 834 are monthly seats, and Room 835 to Room 839 are daily seats. Graduate and doctoral students can make an online reservation for Group Study Carrels on Room Booking System.
Lakeside Reading House
There are about 295 seats in total,both floors are equipped with a seat booking system and access control system.
NCCU Faculty and students use their library cards to select a seat, and tap the card to enter the gate. No reservation is required. This place provides a comfortable environment and natural scenery to relieve and refresh after long hours of studying.
The 2nd floor of the Lakeside Reading House is the quiet area and electronic devices such as laptops are not allowed.
There are lockers on the first and 2nd floor, and the rent for one academic year is NT$ 800 (NT$ 600 with a discount for the lockers at the bottom.)
