- Discussion rooms are equipped with either wall-mounted or mobile screens, and whiteboards are installed on the walls.

- Only users with a valid library card may book and use the rooms.
- You must check in at the kiosk within your reserved time.
1. Discussion Room Facilities
Discussion rooms are available on multiple floors:
Additionally, the 3rd-floor Learning Commons is equipped with similar facilities for open group discussions without the need for a formal reservation.

Room capacity & check-in requirements:
- 1–4 people: Room 501, 701
- Small rooms (3–6 people): Minimum 3 people required for check-in
- Medium rooms (5–15 people): Minimum 5 people required (e.g., Room 510, 511)
- Large rooms (5–24 people): Minimum 5 people required (e.g., Room 814)
2. Reservation Guidelines
Reservation
- Reservations can be made up to 2 weeks in advance, for up to 3 time slots.
- Each time slot may last up to 4 hours.
- Only one space can be reserved per library card number per time slot.
- The names of the required number of attendees must be provided. False or fraudulent reservations will be handled in accordance with the NCCU Library User Violations Policy.
Check-in
- Check-in must be completed within 20 minutes of the start of the reserved time using a valid ID card.
- If check-in is not completed on time or the minimum number of participants is not met, the reservation will be considered forfeited.
- Each forfeiture counts as a “No Show”. Accumulating 3 No Shows within 3 months will result in a 1-month suspension from booking privileges.
- “No Show” records are accumulated across all reservable rooms.
Cancellation
- Reservations must be canceled before the check-in deadline by any group member via the system or by calling the service desk (#77057).
- Failing to cancel before the deadline will result in one No Show record.
Changing Group Members
- Member changes must be made before the check-in time. No changes are allowed after check-in time begins.
3. Violations & Suspension of Privileges
Your booking rights may be suspended immediately for 1 month for any of the following violations:
- Using the room with fewer people than the allowed range.
- Bringing food or drinks, making excessive noise, smoking, or engaging in disruptive behavior.
- Failing to clean up after using the room.
- Moving in furniture or equipment from other spaces without permission.
- Using someone else’s identity to make a reservation.
Additionally:
- Users will be held financially responsible for any damages caused by misuse.
- Other violations will be handled in accordance with the NCCU Library User Violations Policy.
